So I was told here that staking glitches have always been allowed..

I can't seem to wrap my ahead around why this would possibly be so?

For starters, 99% of the time (100% of the time on a rsps) it's going to be scamming the other person in the stake for what they've put up... I'm pretty sure sythe.org was against scamming? It's almost the exact same concept as offsite scamming.

Second, using this against another person in order to unfairly obtain their items is STEALING which is also against sythe.org rules, as is selling and purchasing stolen goods.. And if they already have a sythe profile from purchasing the glitch then obviously they're going to end up selling the profits here... I.E. Selling stolen goods.

Staking glitches are not only a method of scamming other players but basically allowing players to sell stolen goods on sythe.org because they obtained it via a "staking glitch"...?

I guess its the same as luring, its frowned upon but not really scamming. When they talk about stolen goods its usually about hackings/wiping someones account when doing a service.

How is it (stake glitching) any different? Unless the lure is based off of something that shouldn't exist/happen, it's majority lack of knowledge or just gullibility on the victim's part.

There's absolutely no way of telling that someone is going to glitch you in a stake, and there's nothing you can do to prevent it from happening if you're one of the unlucky people that ends up staking the person abusing the glitch..

In some cases there's even less ability to prevent yourself from getting glitched in a stake then there is to prevent yourself from getting hacked.

Glitching would fall under runescape cheating. We have a section entirely based on that concept.

You could say luring is just as bad and we accept that. Staking glitches are another glitch. It's unfortunate how they appear, but they are used to take advantage of the games system in their favor.

    Staking Glitches

We have discussed this many, many times. Tl;dr is that staff members are encouraged to use their own judgement in regards to stake-glitching/reports of/etc. We don't want to make any hard & set rules on the issue and if we deem that a certain situation is scamming/blackhat/whatever we will ban the user (e.g. if someone is luring another sythe user into a glitchy stake, we might take action). Please remember that sythe.org is a runescape cheating site.

So if you see someone deliberately scamming another sythe user through stake glitching, go ahead and report the user and the standing mod will decide whether the behavior should be punished.

    Thanks for posting. :)
