posts deleted if banned

this forum is starting to look rather red, its not rare to find a topic with have the posters banned. i suggest removing/hiding a users posts if they are banned, it will me the forum look alot nicer (and make it seem like almost everyone on these forums is nice )

 

there are some topics out there from banned users that are important. i think even some posts are stickied by banned users ( off the top of my head, matthewgor123 is banned, and has a RSBOT sticky in the cheating section).

So its best to keep them, and if people need to use it for evidence etc, it will be useful.

So, No to this suggestion

I'm 100% sure that it's going to be denied. Sythe wants the revenue, the posts will be archived.

 

Most the posts still contribute to the thread and can be incredibly helpful. Removing them would be stupid.

and alot just sink to the bottom of the section/archives.

This would leave way too many holes in threads

It also shows something is done about scammers, etc. They are not left undealt with

 

well what about my second idea, just hiding them, like where a post was it could say like "Post by So-and-So" and a button to show it. maybe even a toggle option to turn that on or off.

 

Often the posts contribute to the topic and removing them would confuse a lot of people. I can see this would also take a shitload of work from the staff, which, from what I gather, they have enough of. Mainly this would just be pointless, as it is in no way advantageous for anyone.

If the posts by the banned members are removed, then newfags have nothing to educate themselves on.

If posts are delted from banned members vouches will also be deleted therefore I do no support.

 

Haha, kama you and your vouches >_<. But yes, you are very right. If you removed banned peoples vouches we could get into trouble for posting "fake" vouches. It also can be used as evidence if we are looking for a ban evader, when doing a sketchy trade. I do not support sorry.

Alot of users that are banned have made some useful threads, and posts..

.. I could carry on the argument, But the others just rounded it off by saying there will be MANY holes in the forum, which is quite right.

And crap that people post, Will get picked up and deleted by mods anyway.
