Add an Alternative Payment Gateway to donate directly to Sythe!

So recently I had PMed Matthew about the bitcoin donation system and he had said it was removed as per Sythe's decision because of some reason which I didn't know what it was.

My suggestion is get something that can replace that. In fact, obtain a G2APay license in order to replace the PayPal option immediately so that users have various options in which they can choose from.

There is already a PayPal option but why not add something like Skrill or Stripe. This would allow more people to donate and bring money to the site.

It would also prevent chargebacks as people who donate via Stripe will find it incredibly difficult to chargeback.

If there are any other payment methods that people could suggest other than G2A, Skrill and/or Stripe then leave them below.

If new payment methods were to be added for direct pay, it most likely would have to be through a mainstream source, which is why bitcoin was added during that time. You also have to consider what's best for @Sythe to obtain directly. This is why bond holders exist.

 

Create a P.O. Box and have people mail in money for donations.

Jagex used to do that for membership why doesn't sythe for donations?

 

Cash by mail used to be a donation option, although it was eventually removed. If direct payments that were once an option are no longer available, you can assume it's not there for good reason.

You could always pm @Sythe to see if you can donate by mail.

 

There's already a rule in place that if you chargeback a donation to Sythe, it's a permanent ban. I do agree that Sythe could use some more options to donate in. The following problem, however, would be finding bond holders for those methods if they were used individually. The problem I see with G2A Pay is that it charges a fee on transactions, so effectively, the site won't receive the full donation. It's probably not a major fee, but it probably would weigh heavily on the idea of integrating it.
