Account Sale Requirements.

The Selling Runescape Account section is FLOODED with sketchy sellers who are literally guaranteed to scam you. Heres a VERY RECENT example showcasing what like 80% of that section is.
Ksonadia scam

The section is FULL of new users just either ban evading or making a sythe account to "sell" an account they "dont want anymore" for an extremely cheap price which attracts some unacknowledged people who get tricked into these deals.

What im suggesting is, a requirement of atleast $100 Donator AND a healthy vouch thread to be able to post in the SELLING section. However, anybody would be welcome to post in the buying section. This will cut down on SO MANY scams. I've tried warning people when some guy who's joined 1 week ago posts a cheap account that fits the consumers preference, that its going to be a scam. They proceed to ignore, and what do you know? the guy who sold them the account gets banned like 1 week later. Yes, $100 donator and a healthy vouch thread doesnt guarantee they wont recover an account, however it cuts down on it so much, as people have invested into their sythe account and theres a reason not to scam.

This is such a big and COMMON issue, it needs to be addressed.

Similar to this Disable post modifications for non-donators , who cares if you are a $100 donor with vouches, can still scam out at anytime. If anything suggest a sticky saying "Always check vouches, account status, and validity of the account compared to price." Requiring people to pay to sell an account is exactly what @Sythe is against on this site. No support.

 

I agree that something needs to be done about this, but I don't think this is the way to go. As seen recently, one of the most trusted users on this site ended up scamming and recovering all the accounts he sold.

This will not happen as it's a free market. Regardless of their donator status, if someone is going to scam, they will anyway.
