When you search for "Runescape Gold" the main Sythe page comes up on the first page, but people who are looking to buy gold will get confused and leave. I think it would really help the gold market, and possibly other markets, if you use a script to detect the keyword a user has come to the website from, and redirect them properly, or display a message. This will turn 700 guests online to 700 members.

For example, if someone searched "Runescspe Gold" there will be a slider that shows up swith a few threads of gold sellers fetched, or something similar.

If someone searched "Xbox Live code" they will be taken to the Xbox market, etc.


Thoughts?

 

I think this is a great idea for high trafficked keywords. Also, I think you might have personal results on. This should be easy for any one with programming knowledge to implement.

 

You know the majority of those 700 are from a botnet attack, not a bad idea though.

 

When you say search, I assume you're talking searching via a search engine? If that isn't the case you can disregard the following.

But from quickly searching "Runescape Gold" on Google, Sythe didn't even appear in the first 15 pages of results. So considering it's the main market at the moment, maybe it would be wiser to focus on getting Sythe higher up in terms of where it appears when those and certain keywords are searched.

I also did two more searches, "Runescape Gold Selling" which came on the 1st page and from I can tell is linked to correct place in Runescape Gold Sales and the other one being "Runescape Gold Buying" which came up on the 6th and 7th page which directed me to the correct places in Gold Exchange and Runescape Gold Buying.

Which leads me to ask what/where were you searching? But in general I support the suggestion.

 

Google has a new way of doing searches that varies for everyone. It might have been "Buy Runescape Gold" though, which is also pretty competitive.

 

Well if that's the case in terms of it varying for everyone, then I would Support it.

Also, from my end when doing "Buy Runescape Gold" it came up on the 10th page linking me to the correct place in Gold Exchange. So I still think the focus should be more on making Sythe appear sooner when those and certain keywords are searched.

 

Where did this epic idea come from? Seriously, this is awesome. Full support.

 

Also it enables Jagex Moderators to report this site and take it down right?

We've recently enabled the 'Welcome to Sythe' popup on the index page, new users can click "Take me to RuneScape markets" or other dialogues to view specific sections.
