What to do with my time. (Defense pure)

Seeming as I've gained a slight interest in Sythe again I feel as though I should give the game that brought us all here another shot.

However I don't really want to do much in terms of effort.

I have a average main and a f2p pure but they seem to require a lot of effort.

My main interest is my defense pure 1/1/75, what are decent training methods, last I heard many methods were patched.

The best method for this is probably pure potting to 6/6 stats and killing men in edgeville. It's about 9-10k xp/hr with max strength bonus and a dagger. You could also do PC but I don't think you'd get 50 damage in time.

 

I think PC is the best xp/hr for a def pure at around 10-20k/hr, but it's extremely mind-numbing and I wouldn't recommend it for long periods of time (you can repair barricades instead of doing 50 points of damage). Monks (afkable) and seagulls (not that afkable) are the next best spots for training. If you can, look into getting a fighter hat/torso to boost your xp rates.

On the account I have torso fighter serp helm etc.

I'm guessing that cave bugs are nerfed?

 

Never heard of Seagulls as being a method? Where's the best spot to train for that?

 

Port Sarim has like 8-9 seagulls, it's a decent spot for low levels as I'm pretty sure they don't hit you for much at all. Good place to start your pure's stats as well.

 

I'm already at 75 defense so I'm more looking for a AFK method?

 

6 hour methods in general have been nerfed (you can only afk for up to ~20 mins at a time now), so cave bugs probably aren't that good as an afk method anymore because of their high defences. Maybe look into rock crabs on waterbirth? You'd probably be able to AFK for the full 20 minutes there.

 

Rock crabs are your best bet.

 

May I ask how you got to 75 def? Always wanted to make a defense pure.
