You cannot sell mod accounts. they check the IP every once and a while on all the accounts. if it changes they will ban the accounts and all accounts ever used by the IP.

my friend got in trouble for it. he got banned and never had a mistake on his record.

 

I'm sorry, but that's ridiculous. Aren't mods allowed to move houses or play at a friend's house? It's simply not feasible that Jagex would ban someone for changing location, or even for changing ISP.
