Account Hacking

As long I have been on Sythe, I have seen a lot of Sythe Accounts get hacked and many people get banned, muted , Etc.. Because of that.

So I think Sythe Staff should make it automatically after 7 days when you log-in something comes up that you must change your password. Or you may not log-in. If we do that we would have a lot less people getting hacked on their Sythe Accounts.

 

1 problem.... the person who had just hacked would change the pass.... this would not help the situation

 

This is so dumb, you will have to remember so many passwords.. Also people can still hack you they just have to make a new password.

 

No I mean not have to remember them all. Just one you changed it to. And I know people can still get hacked. But it is less likely.

Weak/Insecure passwords are not always the case.

 

there is nothing you can do from a hacker grabing a sites db.

on top of all that, all the dude has to do is take your md5 hash and bring down to milw0rm and just put it in.

hacking isnt just about passwords -_- there is also XSS

 

XSS doesn't work on vBulletin... The only place Javascript is allowed is in an announcement, and even then, your password hash is not readily available.

vBulletin MD5 hashes are also salted, multiplying the work needed to crack the hash considerably.
