High School: 1957 vs. 2009

Our teacher was telling us about how when he was a kid, someone brought a machete to class and they just saw it, and he had it in his bookbag >.>

Its amazing how time changes.

 

So true, except some cases were a little exaggerated like the firecrackers one. But I do see your point.

 

The 70's was the shit for more than just this reason

 

Sad but true I always wished I lived in a time more similar to that

Damn man, after reading that I wish I lived back then. Cops today take things way too seriously, it's messed up.

If by "rs" you mean Runescape then I don't believe that it makes the "system pretty bad."

If it is a block on the computers then they obviously don't want you distracted while in school. The computers in a school are to be used for educational purposes. Not for you to play games.

I think it's a little exaggerated, but sadly enough, it's true. This is what has become of the world today.

America has the highest divorce rate in the world so I wouldn't be surprised.

 

Point is made although those are exaggerations or extreme cases. Times are so different now. You could make a list of the bad things of the past and the improvements of the future-racism, sexism etc. as well.

Yeah, I guess it's true. But if you think about it, the 2009 situations do make sense. I'll use the gun and firecracker scenarios as an example:

He could have been using the quail hunting thing as a cover for a different use for the gun.

He could have been practicing for an "ant hill" in a larger scale.

 

One time in 3rd grade I got fucking tired of those dull plastic scissors that couldn't cut through shit, so one day I brought my swiss army knife to school (I just immigrated to Canada from Russia and no one gave a shat if you had a swiss army knife at school over there) and when my teacher saw me cutting paper with it she freaked out and I got my swiss army taken away, they sent me to the principals office and called my parents and shit. Yeah like a fucking 9 year old would stab someone, like wtf lol

 

Exaggerated, but essentially true.
