Explanation of the trade: OSRS Gp exchanged for fire cape run
How they scammed: logged back into my account and cleaned bank

Just want to start this report by saying this is equally my fault for not having a bank pin set and taking too long to reset my password (busy with things in real life). The service was completed satisfactorally as when the worker logged back into the account they were nice enough to only clean my bank and not drop my untradables including fire cape.

Although I did not have a bank pin set and took too long to reset my password I think it is important for people on here that are looking to engage the services offered that they know that some of the workers employed by the providers are untrustworthy and despite having a bank pin could easily take your equipped items (which could be in the 10's of millions depending on the service required)

I expect @luckycharm to reply in here hiding behind their terms of service (which I openly admit that I didn't follow to the letter) and say that its possible I had a key logger or fell victim to phishing which I can assure this isn't the case and I am the only one that has even had access to this account (I have a masters degree in cyber security which is ironic because I took too long to change my password) but I think it is equally important for this to be aired in a public setting so that people can think twice about which service provider they employ.

So in closing my completely unbiased account of what has happened id like people to think twice about who provides their services. I'd also like to add lucky charm may well be an innocent party and had just been screwed over by a worker (WHO THEY ARE CONTINUING TO EMPLOY).

Having a masters I would say with cyber secruity so fourth, I'd like to think you'd take care of your personal belongings more carefully as i mentioned below.

As i told you when you first opened the ticket today concerning this issue it sucks to be scammed! unfortunatley as you didn't follow the TOS ect nothing can be done.
I'm not going to take somebodys "word" that somebody did XYZ, PROOF is needed.

Although I find it to be irrelevant I am more then willing to provide proof of my degrees as you seem to be using it as ammunition to discredit me. (just ask)

The scope of my degree has less to do with protecting in-game items and more to do with counter-terroism and espionage (interesting stuff HMU and I can explain in more detail) in terms of changing a game password that falls in at about 1000 on the list of what is important in my life hence not accessing the account for sometime after the service was completed. When using a reliable and honest service it shouldnt really matter (which yours clearly is not)

its nice of you to admit I was scammed using your service (although as you also said its very hard to prove). It is impossible to prove something which is intangible, the purpose of this thread was to alert people to the possibility of being scammed using your service. I understand that you think of in game items as "belongings" because to you this game is obviously your life, I respect that and you probably make a heap of money selling pixels and stealing other peoples pixels...

and to act all friendly on discord and then use that as ammunition in here well again just showing your dishonesty

 

So just to clarify things on my end, ill respond to this ticket as well.
Ofcourse we are not going to let just things slide, and we will have a really careful look on our worker with future jobs done, and we will take this as a learning opportunity.
Unfortunately it looks like it is his words against yours in case like this. For us it is impossible to know if it was our worker, if it was anyone else having access to your account, or if it was maybe a keylogger/phishing link that you may have clicked. I understand that the latter is not that likely since you have a master in cyber security.

Because we can't know we protect ourself with our ToS which my manager referred to:

As my manager has stated, you agreed with our ToS which you failed to follow: we ask everyone to transfer any unnecessary wealth so things like this do not happen out of safety for our customers. 2 days after our service you did not change the password and somebody stole wealth of your account. On top of this you did not have a bank pin, which would have protected all your wealth in the first place.

It looks like there is nothing to be done on our side unfortunately, ill let the Sythe Moderators review this and wait for their answer.

I am sorry for your loss, and i hope you learn from this by better protecting your account and reading the Terms of Service for future business on Sythe.

Your worker Emma is listed on your discord as a trial worker.

It's just further evidence that you are willing to trust other peoples accounts in the hands of people you know nothing about. Or the other scenario is that you are a benefactor of this dishonesty.

I have no doubt in my mind that the Mods will side with you on this one, after all you are a donor etc. and I'm just a nobody.

My only hope is enough people see this in order to think twice about who they trust with their information.
