    I was wondering if someone could explain to me, the favorable parts to slice when template designing.

    i find the best ways, are to code as much as you can after designign it in Ps, using HTML + CSS, then use the marquee tool to cut only the images you can't code, then save them as seperate images into your coded site folder.

    About: Slicing Templates

    This is a fairly ambiguous question, and depends on your target audience, your bandwidth, your websites purpose, whether its fluid or liquid and your personal preferences (because who has to look at it most?).

    Depending on my site, I generally slice the header, footer, and a background pattern.
    Then I load it into Dreamweaver (I have it, i'll use it. Its more efficient then notepad) and manipulate it using both the WYSIWYG as well as the coding functions.

    What are you looking at doing??
