Able to Edit Titles.

Ok I am sure this has been suggested befor, but I have been wondering why we can't edit our own thread titles?

*Spelling Mystakes
*Change Of accounts
*Selling Somthing els Using same thread

There just some of the things that this would help.

I realize that any Moderator can do so, but no always is there a mod on, wants to do it, Responds or has time.

Thanks, I see you can edit title but the edited title only shows in side the thread not on the forum.

 

I agree, but then what use would a moderator be?

 

This would be a great addition, I too find reporting my post for a title change can take awhile.

On topic - That would help alot.

 

Maybe limit the number of changes you can make to your title, or the amount of letters you can change - so that it doesn't get abused.

 

I agree... It would also help if you were selling an account or whatever, and then it closes... If we could edit titles, we'd be able to change it to "Thread closed" or something similar.

 

I agree, doesn't really give users "power" but gives them something really useful.

Mods should be able to get enough mod logs or w/e or maybe it can be lowered, its also not really taking the need away from a moderator as they are still needed for plenty of other "superior" things, such as closing threads, deleteing harmful posts/members ect.

It's a stupid vBulletin limitation that makes the ability to edit thread titles fall under "Edit Thread", something only available to moderators. If we chose to give you the permission to edit your own threads, it would be a package deal including the ability to Sticky/Unsticky, Delete/Undelete, Close/Open and Approve/Unapprove your own threads. Not going to happen.
