Yes, I'm EU.

Although I'm going to have to wait a few days before I can play it.. I have to reinstall wow from scratch, and my internet speed is really, really bad. Approx 64 hours now..

 

Thats what I have been doing since yesterday morning. Still downloading 8.8 gigs left

 

just got it, 2 more hours till servers are up -_-

 

I don't think I'll ever make it to 80...

I'm stuck on 65 and so bored with quests

Holy crap... Guys this fucking sucks. Downloaded about 2GB over night out of 9GB.. I'm not going to be able to play for like another 2 days!

Are you sure you aren't doing Peer to Peer?

What do you mean by that? I'm downloading it from the WoW website, using the client, screenshot below..

 

Well it's because my friend said his was taking long also, and he disabled Peer to Peer or something like that haha.

 

Peer-to-peer is found in Options -> Downloader Preferences -> Enable Peer-to-Peer

This will allow you to do a direct download, which at sometimes can increase your download speed. However, with what Rawrasaurus has stated, his download speed is actually higher than normal.

You have not downloaded much so far, so I'm uncertain if you don't have ports allowed through your firewall or not. I would suggest looking at the exceptions. I mention the amount downloaded thus far for after a while of downloading, the downloader will naturally say if there are problems with the download preventing it from going at max speed.

Thanks, I already had my firewall off, it just needed time. I'll bear in mind the Peer to Peer thing for future reference.

I just got on WoW. I upgraded my account and added my 60 day game card (The downloader is about half way through the 3rd step, you can still play but apparently it's a bit buggy). It's currently loading the world for my 80 druid (seems to take about 5 minutes, first launch I guess), I'm so excited, I can't wait to explore Azeroth and level up my shaman.

Ok sweet, I'm in game (In dalaran). My talents are reset and my action bars are screwed ^_^ I'll leave that for now.. Time to explore Azeroth :laugh:

Wow holy crap, flight form in Dalaran? Sweet, they finally got rid of that annoying restriction.

Portals to citys are currently not being displayed, I'm guessing it's to do with the download not being complete. Guess I'll log on my shaman.
