The US was ok with the dictatorship where "If that country's in a war, fuck them, it doesn't affect us so they're on their own." That was the best ever. Then Bush came along and brainwashed everyone that any Muslim was a terrorist and it was the American dream to go into a war they shouldn't be in and kill people for no reason.

    K?

When Saddam launched biochemicals on his own people, capturing and killing Saddam was not a reasonable action?

Is it the responsibility of the U.S. to actively seek out atrocities and prevent them from happening?

    1. Cause-Effect Fallacy. "Saddam was executed for crimes against humanity. Thus, we actively sought capturing and killing him after he commited the crime".

    2. I really hope you aren't even trying to suggest that Reaganomics actually worked or is even applicable.

When one government fails, another SHOULD come to help, and reestablish it.

By using biochemicals on his own people, he was failing as the hierarchy to take care of his people.

You can believe what you want, but that is not a policy the the US follows. Nationalism has always overpowered humanistic altruism... case study: Sub-Saharan Africa.

    Nationalism is extreme patriotism.

Why are the only true patriots in the US serving for their country all over the world?

China, Africa, Japan, Britain, Afghanistan, and even more.

We went to Iraq to eliminate Saddam, which was in the back of the 9/11 attacks. We embarked into Afghanistan to eliminate Osama.

If you notice, every time we go into a country, we never fully leave.

sorry if this has already been said, but the United States and many many forewarnings of this attack. they could have stopped it and been more prepared, but instead didnt listen because this gave them the chance to test their new bombs and pretty much put an end to the war. Sure Japan were planning on bombing America, but America had their chance to do something about it and didnt, thus descided it would be better to destroy parts of Japan and kill many civillians. what America did was disgracful, it did help Japan to become the country they are today, but it was totally the wrong thing to do.

WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER. Every soldier on this earth is a terrorist to me.

Well you're making a moral claim now - can you justify it? Why is one country morally responsible for aiding others in need?

America is basically trying to keep the country under control so they cannot function for themselves and cannot attack anyone else. They have stated in the past that Iran is a 'threat to global security'. They are only there because if Iran got hold of a nuclear weapon and decided to use it on them they wouldn't survive. They would end up destroying the world population.

If the US government was disestablished, many more countries would fail.
By helping first, we are setting an example.

We are in Iraq to help establish and further their government.

We have already helped establish a democracy, and now their citizens can vote.

Even under Bush's power, we were slowly giving Iraq back their power, and training their men for police and military.

    Remember Desert Storm?

When Clinton invaded the middle east on thoughts of WMD's?

Bush went in to take out Saddam, Al-qaida and Osama.

How would not dropping a bomb would result in higher casualties. Now, this is brain washing. Ask any American and they would tell you this. United States is yet to admit that it was wrong. What a pathetic excuse. The bombs were dropped on the citizens and also children. I wish you were that child and got bombed.

As for defending the nation, i don't see how your argument is logical. Defending the nation means that you fight on your own turf. You are attacking another nation when you fight on its turf, assuming no other countries involved.

Are you forgetting one key element in your decision to be against war and soldiers? We are human. It is our nature to fight and argue.

America did what was right during World War II. If they had not bombed Japan what would things be like today? How would the outcome of the War change? And what the hell do you mean America had their chance and didn't do a thing about it? They did what they had to do. I would have backed up that decision any day.

You need to rethink things a little. Look at what right came out of things. Do you fucking think every soldier likes war? Men die everyday just doing a little right for the world, trying to make things straight. Maybe think a little before you start ripping on people?

Our projectiles and bombs can go through a 10 story building through a window, and kill only one person in a room.

    You, are brainwashing.

That doesn't answer the question, though. Why are we morally responsible for setting an example?

I sure would. Why would others be morally responsible for granting it to me, though?

I obviously don't agree with what you're saying. If you want to talk shit, go fight in the war yourself.

1 person in a room? Then how come the bombs that were dropped on Japan, killed so many people? I am afraid you are the one that got brain washed at school, tell me more about it.
