Do I need a Job?

Well ok I'll tell you where it all started.
Well like 75% of the kids at my school dont use the canteen. So I decided to sell subway's, at lunch times just for a joke, but I turned out selling, 8-10 subs daily with a profit of £1 each. I did this for a huge period of time, without getting caught( Not allowed at my school)^_^ .
Then Thought to myself "I need to make more profit"
Now I buy in bulks.. sets of guitar hero, mario kart's,and games from my Wholeseller "Costco" selling and making profits of £5-£30. I dont do this because I need the money its just out of pure, fun and exitement, because I like business. Anyways I'm turning 16 this year, should I continue doing this, or just get a normal job like everyone else..?
Help me out!.

 

Yes get a job...if you continue doing that theres a possiblity you'll start getting into the bad business of drug dealing

that happened to me, i started by selling sodas because our school bans them and than it grew into selling bud and now im selling it only to minimal friends. by the end of this semester i hope to stop so just make sure you dont go down that path

Aside from that, getting a job really depends on your lifestyle. If you've got a license and you're out of the house a lot then I would say get a job. However, if you've got no reason to get a job, then don't.

 

Haha thanks for the advise from someone who's been down the path I'm taking.That's what my freinds keep telling me they say I'm goner end up selling drugs lol.

I like, commas. I dont have a driving licence and my mum is getting me a moped soon. I am out and about, and all my freinds are getting jobs soon, I just dont see the point when I'm making some easy profit and my parents can get me things.

 

Your parents are going to get tired of getting you things once you're old enough for a job. I know mine are. Get a job. It probably pays better too.

 

Stop selling that shit, and move onto real things.

Cars, car equipment, drugs.

 

Get a real job now so when you go for different jobs in the future you have some experience on your resume. You can't exactly list the whole selling subways as a previous job

 

Stay with what you got. Then make profits.

 

Do both. Getting a job + making a little profit on the side isn't bad. Try to not flunk either. =p

 

Do the selling for profits thing just as a hobbie. Get a job to make even more money, like yeah you don't need it now but when you then do want money you will have lots of it. Trust me, i was in a similiar situation.

My parents bought me EVERYTHING like if i went shopping mum would buy me about $600 worth of clothes and that'd just be normal. If i wanted to go to the movies she gave me money for it. Then i got a job and my parents still paid for everything so i managed to save up LOTS of money. Then my parents thought i was getting a bit older and need to be more depended so i had to pay for a lot more of my own stuff. I then lost my job but was able to still go out and do stuff and buy stuff since i had that other money saved up. If it weren't for me getting a job when i didn't need it i probably would've had to sacrifice other stuff in the future.

 

Yes. Try to get a job ASAP. Set up a savings account if you haven't already. Collect all of the money you make and put it in there. I'm 15 and I have over $1,500 saved up, and I don't even have a job. Trust me, it will be sooo convenient when you are an adult and you need some cash.

 

Thanks for all advice guys, I guess I might have to get a job, get something at least on my CV.

 

If what you enjoy doing pays off. Then stick with it for a while but eventaully you will need to get a job, to get expreience. .. etc.

 

just because you sell a few things doesnt mean u will sell drugs, geez. just dont do it, it aint that hard to choose what you do when you havent already started. peer pressure etc is bullshit, just say no, what are they gunna do, not be ure mate? well if they get like tht over u not doing somehting, they arent really a mate. so u wont be selling drugs if u choose to not do it.

if u have ure license, get a normal job. if not, then why not stay with this for the moment? i mean, u get profit right, u dont have to pay taxes on it, and u suggest business is great. keep at it untill u get your licence. when u do get ure licence get a normal job, u cant keep merchanting all your life, if u do, then yes, maybe u will lead to illegal merchandise.

overall, do it untill u get a licence, from there get a job, maybe in sales or something similar, if u like that merchanty sale type stuff.

Get a part-time job. Seriously. I'm 14 and I'm already reffing Soccer games for U-13... You will appreciate the money you will gain from your job.

I also would consider saving 50% of your paycheck for a big purchase, such as a car... down payment on a house, etc. Gl with whatever you do.

You should get a Job but also do some hustling on the side. Keep selling your subs or take it up a notch, but not too much because you'll get booked if you go too far. I say you should get a good paying Job and keep selling your subs.
