    Soreness/Running help

    Here's my question.

My Girlfriend is a great runner, she's gone to states multiple times and has broken many records at her school. She's in her senior year and she's currently not having the best season ever. She has complained before about very bad soreness in her shin's, as well as quads. She's not dumb however, and at first it was her shoes, so she fixed the problem easily. But recently she's still felt some pain, and she has districts coming up in a week. I told her she needs to do light workouts in the morning to get her muscles warmed up and get the lactic acid going within her muscles for later in the day, as well as ice baths, but I'm still curious as to if anyone has any tips when it comes to methods of getting rid of soreness and such?

    Thanks!
