    How do you perceive users?

What indicator do you use to evaluate other members of sythe? How do you categorize people as older, younger, mature, immature, smart, dumb, likable, obnoxious, etc.? When you think of a user, do you just see their username in your head when trying to picture them? Or something else entirely?

When I try and think of a user who I haven't seen on cam, it all has to do with their avatar. I recognize people by the images they use for their avatars and signatures, and even gauge their personality on it to a degree (but mostly personality indications, for me, come from how they type). When someone changes their avatar, to be honest, it throws me for a loop, and I have to work to remember the precognitions I've had about that user. For instance, Blade bro4 recently changed his avatar from B4 or something to something else entirely, and his whole visage changed for me.

Same here about the avatar. I don't catargorize them completely by the avatar but if it has a face in the avatar then I just picture them as that person I guess...if that makes any sense. For all I know you could be Andy Samberg lol. As far as maturity and things along that line, the style of speaking or grammar is what does it for me.

As above, same for the avatar, but also ranks. I recognise people when they post by their avatar primarily, for example I recognised it was you due to your avatar which I believe you have had for a while. However, this is the first time I've actually looked at your avatar in detail, I never realised it was a man high fiving a ?cat? yet I still recognised you from it.. Kill Dank is another one that springs to mind. I recognise him from his avatar, but only recently did I realise that it said 'Green day' on it.

The content of their posts tends to be what I remember other members for. I always remember the people who I think are really kind, or really intelligent or complete and utter cretins but the people that don't really have any extreme element to their posts don't stick in my memory very well. Peoples avatars play a small part in it, but only if they're particularly funny or interesting.

Mainly grammar, it shows a lot about a person I find, it's weird but I seem to remember how people write and shit.

Also if I see two people with the same avatar, it really fucks with me lol.

I know people by their avatar so it pisses me off when people steal others avatars or they change them since I then think than random people are either CP or Macroman. >_>

I know people by their trolling, so I could tell who T_L/deathsnova is even if they vaded ;)

but I usually recognize people by their real life faces, if I know them.

    How do you perceive users?

Apart from the avatar and their username, another thing that gives me an idea of a person's age or personality is their posts. The articulation and grammatical cohesion of the things they post really gives me a good perception of what that person might be like in real life.

    How do you perceive users?

I tend to look at donating ranks (if any) more than the avatar. I mainly look at the join year and their post count. It gives me an idea of who they are and how long they've been on the site for.

    How do you perceive users?

I tend to look at how people write in their signature.
If there is something funny, or stupid, or something with TOO many smiley faces, then I judge the person to be slightly young, but it it's something simple, or links to their own threads/services then they are mature enough in my book, but then again the quality of their posts also lures me to think of who is what or how young.

    How do you perceive users?

Post count and quality of posts, join date, any special ranks and the signature, if its clutter with crap like "X amount of good trades, Y amount of bad trades" If I were to trade with someone, I'd do the job of finding out their list of trades by my own instead of having some numbers thrown in my face.

    How do you perceive users?

I tend to have a lot more trust in people who have put the effort in to display there account nicely. Just seems to add more maturity to the user.

Also, I'm very image based when it comes to consciously identifying users.

Like you say, an avatar changes. Shit hits the fan!

    How do you perceive users?

I judge people on how they type and what they say; if they can't spell, or seem overly excitable, they're young and immature. I assume most $5 donators are scammers, most mod suck-ups are ban evaders, and anyone who claims they're female, has a pic as their avatar, and uses the word 'lolz' to be a guy.

However, my first impressions are easily malleable. I usually only truly make judgements in the first 10 minutes of speaking to them directly. Oh, and I mostly keep track of people by their sigs.

    How do you perceive users?

I judge them based on their grammar, actions, and time here, along with their activity and which sections they are active in.

Attitude is a huge factor, but it takes awhile to make an impression on me.

I usually remember the avatars such as many others above me.

When avatars are changed it screws with my brain.
