A New Scam!

Name: Team Viewer Scam

Info: This is done in several manners, the most common is the hacker will download a key stroke recorder ON THERE COMPUTER, then they will ask you to use there team viewer to log into there account. You think 'this looks innocent' and type your name and password.


FAQ: This is Commonly done with Runescape upgrades, however people are now asking to verify accounts through team viewer aswell to pull of this scam.

Prevention:
DO NOT LOG ONTO YOUR ACCOUNT ON SOMEONE ELSE'S COMP

 

This isn't new, it has been around for awhile.

Yeach i fell into it one time - seller should use teamviever on his/her own computer

 

Isn't it common sense that the upgrader, CONNECTS TO THEIR TEAMVIEWER, where the buyer has already logged into the acc to avoid anything dodgy happening?

This is an old scam which has been done lots of times, you shouldn't give out the exact method though because when it's released to the public it just causes more people to try these methods, and you're actually helping people.

I'd probably lay low on the exact description =p

 

this is not new people try this on me all the time its sad

Just don't use Teamviewer, simple. Have the OMM/trusted MM verify everything.

 

people go way to far just to hack a game.. :/
