A Complete Revision of Donation Perks

(title should say HIGH DONOR PERKS)

Matthew said it himself. MORE PERKS ARE NEEDED! So lets get it done! vB4 isnt coming so why delay the new donator/user groups any longer? We have had some great ideas that have been denied due to no user groups.

Thoughts?

• NEW DONOR GROUPS FOR NEW PERKS

• More PM Space for HIGH donors (only a small minority of sythe to stop limits)

• Mutiple UI's (such as Matthew has 4, mod's have 3, maybe 2 for high donors?)

• Animated UI for $300+ maybe?

I like the idea of "Customisable profile pages", intriguing what could be done there.

 

So out of this I got multiple UI's is the only plausible suggestion.

I'd support it, mods already have access to it and it wouldn't hurt to be allowed more UIs for higher level donators.

Also customize-able profile pages were coming with vb4 I believe.

 

Well im hoping to bring more ideas than just multiple Ui's.

Matthew said that some were denied due to no custom donator ranks; which were coming with vB4; which is no longer coming, therefore i am suggesting now!

 

Wouldn't more inbox space be available for $500+ donors for instance, that way it would be a small group that matthew would have to make, wouldn't take much upkeep.

The problem with this is we'd have to manage multiple donor usergroups. Although not a HUGE issue, could get annoying if we start trying to split them too much. It's an idea though that isn't exactly impossible, just might be a pain in the ass.

 

I'm sure this has been suggested before as it just seems obvious but what about some custom (your user name)@sythe.org emails or something similar?

 

Matthew could feasibly automate it I believe. I can't recall. I know it's been talked about it and he hasn't wanted to deal with it because it will be a pain in the ass.

 

Multiple UI's and Donator Icons for $300+ should be implemented. Saves the hassle of Matthew having to approve new icons/titles every so often aswell, as it can be done in one go.

Surely if it was or only very high donors then there wouldn't be a problem swapping one persons permissions to that group a week, as not many people donate heavily.

The numerous UI's isn't a bad idea and neither is the larger PM box. Although, messing around with the usergroups could get very tedious it's still for the better. Support.

However I'm not sure how having multiple UI's is a benefit (as you're able to only use 1 UI at a time)?

I'd support more perks for high-level donators, however 'a complete revision' of all the perks isn't necessary.

 

It's rolled so a random one is used every refresh, have you never noticed a mod post multiple times on one thread and have different ui's? It's a fun option if you can't choose between two.
