Hey, I'm interested in getting a camcorder for snowboarding this season, it will also be used for normal stuff: Vacations etc.

The camcorder must be hand held- can't be bulky and water proof is a must!

Actually I have an HD video camera I bought a while ago that I used for concerts but I'm not really using anymore.

The plus is that it's really easy to hold, etc.

If you're interested I can sell it to you for a good price.

It's not water "proof" but I've used it in snow and rain before and it's been great to me. I also have an 8 gig card for it.

Please hit me up on MSN if you're interested.

Surely a head cam would be best?

I don't wear a helmet, and the camcorder will be used for everything: In January I'm going on vacation with some of my friends to Jamaica so i'll be using it there....

Inventer thanks but I am def going to get a water proof one since during snowstorms etc. Thanks though.

You don't wear a helmet while snowboarding? Why? It's one of the most dangerous sports..

I may no wear a helmet on my bike when I probably should but it's a lot easier to control

Um I guess the main reason is: When you first start snowboarding, each time you fall you will land on your back and slam your head. Once you get more advanced when you fall, your head never hits lol

Heh not sure how to explain it but I never hit my head no more, and the only time I really fall is when I fail at an 360' attempt....

I know what your saying, I stopped wearing helmets around 7 months of boarding, I still fall but I barely ever slam like when you first start learning, and when I do I kind of regret not having that helmet on.

This is the Cam I use http://www.amazon.com/Sony-DCR-SR42-Handycam-Camcorder-Optical/dp/B000M3LJ5U, me and a couple of friends I ride the local mountain with all split the cost, so it ended up cost us each about $60.
I recommend having your crew split the price if everyone is using it, instead of just you getting stuck with the bill.
