Friends List Glitch

I found a fun little glitch today. You can add yourself to your friends list.

1. Change your display name to something.
2. Log in to RuneScape.
3. Add your Username to your friends list. Note: make sure you add your user name and not the new display name you just made.

 

what is the point of this? can you message yourself?

 

No real point. Just for shits and gigs.

And yes you can PM yourself. I give myself advice all the time.

Actually I found out when I logged in today that you get deleted from your own friends list when you log out

No problem, I just added myself again

You can do this without changing your name. You put a space before your name and add it. It will work. I can't do this because my name is 12 chars, and with the space it will be 13.

 

i used to pm myself back, right click on something i wrote, messege to and such

Yeh its for totaly bored chineses that dont have friends on rs ,so they can have some chat with "vitual friend"

 

Just because other people may have discovered this too, doesn't mean he didn't find out for himself.
