    Laptop blu ray question

My laptop doesn't have a blu ray drive and therefore can't play blu ray discs, but can it play blu ray downloads, like say over a torrent?
    thanks

Yes, as long as you are not trying to play it from a disc.

I think you may have to have a certain monitor requirement.. although I'm unsure.

You'd need the screen, and a powerful enough laptop to run the video file (they are surprisingly taxing). I'd suggest using VLC player.

you will need a LCD monitor for your monitor and GOM player works better than VLC

Monitors "show" the true qualities of BluRays. It is true that monitors/TV/BlueRay players are important or otherwise they will look just as a DVD.
