i dont get it..

I'm lvl 68 with a chaotic rapier and I can't stake to save my life, i don't get good hits, I get crapted on by a brackish blade.. help me, what am i doing wrong?

im about to give up and get 45 def and go zerker.

 

It's possible that you're just not lucky.

 

anyway to turn taht luck around.. gete higher str? get the def? any tips.

 

Well, if you're fighting people your level there is a good chance that they have around 60 attack and 99 strength which probably allows them to hit higher than you can with a rapier. Either that or you're just unlucky.

 

Raise the strength and maybe the hp if you feel it is a bit low. Strength is the most important factor in straight up weapon only fights

 

I really don't try to fight my levels cause they all are prod's and use vesta/statius.

 

k i'm going to go to sw and bot and try to get 80+ str with zeals

 

Rapier stakers are best when you're closed to maxed, I would go for 90+ Strength personally.

 

yh i suggest get 90+ str

 

Make sure you PiD, and also, your strength level might be a tad low considering you're a 1 defense staker, keep in mind that you having 80 attack allows your opponent to have roughly +17 str levels & +4 HP levels on you.

to be successful with rapier staking at 1 defense you're going to need relatively high strength, I'd shoot for late 80's/early 90's and you might find yourself winning more and more of your stakes.
