Jagex Condone RWT'ing

Along with the new easter update, Jagex have implemented a "Wheel of fortune" update.



You can now buy additional spins.

Not sure why you would buy spins when you never land on lucky items anyway. Maybe bought spins have a higher chance

 

I'd rather support an Asian Goldfarmer instead of buying these damn "spins".

Jagex are stupid, I'd rather PAY $300 for a REAL Divine Spirit Shield then spend let's say $1,000 for a "lucky" one.

I can just imagine a young'un stealing their parents credit card, buying spins then getting straight cabages and crying lol

 

Seems well over priced. $5 for 10 spins, i've done well over 50 spins and best thing i've received is a medium lamp.

 

I'm really hoping that this is their April Fool's joke... though it seems a little late

If this is real, the things you earn are untradeable anyway, so it's -$. Like you said, they're supporting RWT.

 

This is just another way for Jagex to earn extra money, they lost quite a bit of $$$ after bot nuke. Bots are slowly coming back, but that doesn't cover the potential profit they would have made for the few months after bot nuke.

I find it stupid how monsters now drop "extra spins".

 

It shouldn't affect things that much, as the things you get are 'lucky' so they can't then be traded on

 

Just silly imo, you can spend $20 on on getting 10M or pay someone else to get you it for $15.

 

They've already had 2 stabs at april fools, pea hats and jagmotion suits lol.

Doubt that this is an update. Theres even a Squeal of Fortune tab now.

 

Honestly, just seems pathetic to me. Those prices are rip-off considering the rewards you get. If this is another April fools attempt, they fail.

yeah that's pretty fucked up. I logged in and I get a bunch of spin this spin that bullshit and telling me I can't get the good stuff cuz I''m a free player but everyone around me is wearing colored dragon armor and I fucking lag out trying to teleport to lumbridge and sort this shit out. I go to dryanor and get the peahat thing, put it on, then tab over to check my torrents and browse the internet a bit. I completely forgot about runescape until right now but when I remembered, I closed the tab and I'm done playing for now. I'll probably never get the easter items or whatever the new stuff is, but oh well. I really need to go to sleep.

You guys seem to be missing the possible opportunity's. I personally get a small lamp atleast once per 2 days so I would say my chance to get a small lamp is about 25%.

Let's say you would start at level 50 you would get 1,101 xp per lamp.
60 = 1,685
70 = 2,593
80 = 3,980
90 = 6,122
98 = 8,602
[ CALC ]: (1101+1685+2593+3980+6122+8602)/6 = 4,013.833333 (4.01k)

50-99 in a skill is an average of 4000 xp per lamp I guess.
13M xp / 4000 = 3250 lamps needed.
13000 spins needed to get these as it's a 25% chance atleast in my calcs.

16€ gives 75 spins
1 spin is €0.21

13000*€0.21 = 2730 € to get 50-99 summoning.

I can imagine people making combat level 15 accounts with 99 summoning for around 2500€. You can actually easily sell these on Sythe for more or make it back staking within a day.

It would nearly get intersting for me to spend 1000€ to get 95 summoning on my summoning tank and start staking - this would get profitable rather quickly.

 

Oh.my.god that is an amazing idea. its tempting to spend like $15 or $20 to get like 57 summon on my tank.

 

You can say it's stupid but be glad that:

A. It doesn't actually affect anyone other than the people who buy the spins
B. This might very well be the thing that keeps runescape servers up and running

Also, I'm just going to go ahead and say that this is not RWT, much like buying runescape memberships directly from jagex is not RWT

 

This is so stupid.
I'de rather see a rise in membership prices then spins on a wheel I'm sorry. If I'm supporting the game I don't want to do it this way.

 

I doubt this is April Fools, I wouldn't be surprised if they're doing this, as I can see a fair few people buying this.
