    Recovering an Account

I recently sold an account to somebody and they were able to get on and set recovs and register an email address to it. But he now tells me that the pass has changed and he is unable to recover the account. I'm trying to help him get on his account but it won't let us recover the account using his registered email. I recently deleted recoveries on my main by using my email and all I had to do was submit a stolen account appeal and a code was sent to my email, then I punched that code in and bam, new password and recovs gone. Yet when we try on the account that I sold him, we put in the code that gets sent to his email, then it brings us to the appeal page where you fill in recovs and old passes. I don't understand why it would work with my main, but we are unable to set a new password on the account I sold to him. We have tried recovering the account using the recoveries and all info yet it has been denied multiple times.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I believe this only works on the "1st" email that has been assign to... Or the person who somehow hack it put membership on it.

you just need 2 things to recover an account

    pervious passwords
plus creation details if you get those 2 right

you will have your account back

I've done a recovery test on this account before but none of my attempts have been successful yet. I just don't understand why the account can't be recovered by the email that he has attached to it.

Well do you originally own the account? Might be that the seller you bought from didn't give all the information and then he recovered with maximum information which you can't do and I do believe that whenever there is a fight between account recovering from different IP's. Jagex gives account to the person that gave most correct information and denies all the information the least amount gave even what he gave was correct. This might be wrong but from previous experiences, I believe this is how it works.

Cosrob no this is my reset obby zerker that I sold. And I'm not the original owner but I've had for 3+ months and have successfully done a recovery test on it so it doesn't make sense why I wouldn't be able to help him.
