    Requesting a High Pardon

    Greetings Sythe.org Staff and Administration

It has been a while but I've decided, due to recent events in my life, I would make an attempt to rejoin this community.

    =========================================================
    Pros:
    Dedicated member since RuneCMS (2004)

Assisted the site by MMing thousands of dollars worth of gold/account/paypal and never having had one scam report or any bad comments about my services (OMM)

Helped Unknown with the original User Education section (back when it meant something and users posted creative and unique guides because they wanted to and not because they were required every week/month)

Countless hours put into moderating (bans/cleanup/etc) and monitoring the website and IRC

One of the two first and only Community Moderators, and in turn one of the first two to be reinstated when the position of global mods returned

Hacked Sigex's MSN Messenger account in an attempt to get him to give up at sythe (as far as I know his activity at sythe has ceased since around that time)

Delved deep into the entire Sue Sigex project to the point where I had pictures of his house/address

Original ScarScape tester (for those of you that even remember that)

Social engineered Sigex into giving me the list of cracked forum accounts when the database was stolen so sythe could run a patch on the DB to insta-ban all those accounts

Excessively pushed for a Real-Life items market (after constantly being turned down because of scamming due to the lack of an ebay-like system of shipping confirmation)

Donated GP (when it was an option) to the site to assist in its growth

Prevented countless keylogging/phishing attempts as a RS Mod and even went as far as to email their hosting provider and ISP to have the content removed

Completely revamped the Other Games section; in turn creating an Other Games Market forum

Attempted to help lead the community into more of a gaming forum rather than RS by helping Finn and others start a World of Warcraft guild.

Constantly encouraged community activities such as inventing Spam Forum Roulette, attempted to operate an Official Sythe.org Myspace running and maintainingSytheStock and held Midnight-Terror games with cash prizes

    Cons:
    Bad Character
    -Excessive trolling

    -History of phishing

    -Accusations of "hacking"

    =========================================================

Now I guess this is the part where I'm supposed to go on about how I've changed and acknowledge my wrongs. I suppose I can attempt to do that but I'm also here posting to try to clear up a few things regardless of the outcome of my pardon.

First of all, I would like to point out that there are a handful of pros to having me as an active member of this community as opposed to the number of cons, seeing all three cons can easily be remedied and/or explained.

    Con #1: Excessive Trolling

I would like to point out that there is nothing bad about a successful troll in good fun as long as it doesn't hurt anybody. And the only case of excessive unnecessary trolling I can think of is when I was trolling the new staff members in the staff lounge about "how much we had all scammed that month" and included a pie chart for authenticity. Yes, I agree this was probably a bad idea but overall it wasn't a big problem until we had someone in the staff lounge that SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD ACCESS IN THE FIRST PLACE that leaked said thread to public and cried corruption for the entirety of the Sythe.org staff. While we all know this isn't the truth I can see how something like this can hurt the site as a whole by causing unneeded bad reputation and staff member conspiracies.

    Con #2 & 3: History of Phishing/Hacking

While I do understand phishing had a bad name and is considered a form of hacking, understanding the "bells and whistles" of phishing can actually help prevent you yourself from being vulnerable to such attacks. Not to mention, what I was phishing has absolutely nothing to do with this website (I've only ever phished Myspace.com and Facebook.com) I have however in the past made posts on a forum, that will not be mentioned, assisting other users with their own phishing expeditions concerning xbox live accounts and this is something I deeply regret. I truly wish such things can be kept in the past and I can swear I have since learned more about computer ethics being at Champlain College. Being almost 20 years old now, I now know I can't be dabbling in such things such as phishing and hacking because if for some reason I was caught, I wouldn't be able to get a job in the industry and would in turn have wasted $43,000 a year being at a private college.

Now what am I asking for? I'm asking for a fresh start, something many people have not been given the opportunity to have on this forum. I would like to be able yet again make significant contributions to this website. I would like to be able to freely trade with users again without the worry of being turned down because of a trade with caution rank. And maybe someday, I'll be able to re-earn the trust I once had and return as a staff member.

Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal and I hope you can sense the sincerity in my writing.

I think I would have to support you as well at this point.

Unfortunately, you've been banned by the highest power... IE Mr. Sythe.

Only Sythe can overturn a ban made by... Sythe... lawl!

The pros outweigh the cons. I'd be fine with an unban and a temporary TwC.

My opinion won't matter at the end of the day, but I'm tired of offsite activities affecting people onsite, and I know how much work he's put in. So I obviously support.

Daily has contributed more good than harm to this site. Yes, he trolls and has a history of phishing, but I have never seen any direct harm to sythe users.

I also support this high pardon.

I support this pardon. I think Daily's contributions are great, probably as great as any global. I think he generally cares about the site.

Abstaining. However your contribution list is impressive.

EDIT - Also adding looks like you took time with this and thought it through as well.

    :(

I do support this being voted on by the upper staff and/or Sythe reviewing his decision on this matter.

I don't support your pardon request but am not opposed to it.

I would, however, point out that this would be your forth or fifth chance - few enjoy two, let alone as many as you've had.

I'd like to know what the previous bans were for before I comment on this.

He seems very Sincere and I must say from just viewing certain threads he was known to be a legend of this site, I would encourage Sythe to Accept this pardon.

Talked over it with him, I'm confident he's a reformed person and will resume contributing to the site if given the chance.
