I need the low down on Diablo 2. It looks like a great game but have never played it. What is the level cap and is the game worth purchasing? Does the game have races/classes and which are your favorite? I am quite good at most any class, but what would you recommend as a good Single Player account to pick up?
Any other info you can give me is greatly appreciated.

The max level of a character can only go up to level 99. The game is definitely worth the purchase, people still play this game after around 10 years. The classes of Diablo II are: Amazon(Zon), Paladin(Pally), Sorceress(Sorc), Barbarian(Barb), Necromancer(Necro), Assassin(Assin) and Druid. My favorite character in the whole game must be the Sorceress(Sorc), because of the Fire spells that it can use, and it does up to 14K+ damage. Also, I don't suggest you play Single Player, play on Battle.Net to learn faster, from other people too. Also, don't quit the game, just because it may seem confusing or something similar to that, but keep going at it, you'll end up loving it. One last thing, to prevent getting scammed, don't trade through dropping, as the person can easily scam you, also when you're on the trade screen, always check the item before accepting, even though they exit out of the trade screen, and say "Oh ok, this is good then" for example, and they put something that looks similar, but you don't double check and they give you a different item than you wanted(usually a worthless item) that looks exactly the same as the item you wanted.

One of the best online RPG games ever made. Extremely enjoyable, very different than any other online RPG game. It was way ahead of its time in both PVP and PVM. In its hay-day, there really was no game I enjoyed more than Diablo II.

One last question, should I get Diablo 1 or 2? Will I be missing a big part of the story if I haven't played Diablo 1?

ahaha diablo 1 was no doubt the worst game i ever played, there is a massive difference between diablo 1, and 2.

but honestly, id maybe wait till diablo 3 comes out, i mean a lot of ppl will swith over, sure there will still be a few people in d2 but i believe you will have a better experience with d3.
