    Graphics card?

    Hey guys!
I just recently tried playing a Steam game on my computer (MW2) and it can't handle the graphics! I'm told i need to get a card, but I'm not sure if a laptop is compatible with this? I have a VERY nice laptop, and it usually handles gaming very nicely. I use design programs, messangers, games, etc. in the same session and it works fine.
To clarify, the game was UNPLAYABLE. I tried non-online as well, and i lagged right there as well. My computer is clean, that isn't the problem.
Please help me to know how i can play, and how do get and/or install a graphics card, thanks!

Open start menu, right click the Computer option then hit properties. A window should open up about your specs. Go to the left, click Device Manager and open up Display Adapters. It should show it there. Right click your device and open the properties. Copy and paste your device type and Location here.

Hm, MW2 should run on that card on minimum settings. Have you installed the latest drivers for your card? Open up your cards properties and tell me the location.

From the looks of it, you'll need to get a new card. Your laptop only takes PCI type cards so make sure to get one of those. Not PCI-E. You would have to open it up and replace your current card with a new one that you would have to buy.
Being a PCI, you don't have many options for a new card. Just look for a Nvidia GeForce 8000 and above with 512mb+. Those cards should play most games in HD, top quality. Try aiming for 9800 GT cards, you can get anywhere from $80 - $150.

That's sounding quote costly, thank you very much though!
    I'll look into it immediately.

Laptops can be hard to upgrade a graphics card in.

Because of the laptops being compact, they're made to fit all in one (if that makes sence), and are hard to replace.

I have a brand new Laptop, which is for gaming, and i don't have the option to upgrade my Graphics card without it costing almost half the price of the laptop.

It will be expensive, but if you are prepared, it can be done,
