what to do with these items

Okay, I have tassets, dfs, and bcp, I've been thinking about selling them and getting barrows and using a dragon defender now instead.

I do slayer a lot so would this be a smart move?

Barrows and A dragon dagger would be definitly be a good move, but about the dfs; Keep it?

 

keep tassets/bcp, 10% str is worth it.

selling dfs would be enough to get you 2 full sets of any barrows.
and dragon defender > dfs. period. I'd definitely take attack bonus over the def and spare myself 20mil.

 

Not really. The DFS is still better than the dragon defender, and since your going to be doing slayer the extra defense & damage absorb from a DFS would be helpful.

If you do slayer a lot, and your going to be using barrows, that mean's you'll be repairing your armor constantly. Your better off with Bandos, DFS, and a Whip. Better defensive stats.

You could also meet half way and do something like:
Torso(str),Tasset(str+defence),DFS(str+defence),Whip(good weapon in general)

 

Keep the bandos but sell the DFS.
DFS is only good for dragon tasks as the Dragon Defender has greater attack bonuses.

Dragon defender is a replacement for DFS not full bandos.

 

I also agree that swapping DFS for defender would be a pretty good idea.

Enough people used to use bandos with rune defender, so now with the release of dragon defender, it will just become more common.

 

dragon defender is definitely not a replacement for dfs. Dfs still has not only greater def bonus, but greater str bonus as well. And once the soaking update comes out, you'll most likely want a dfs for the absorption of damage.

 

But you get an attack bonus with the dragon defender and save 20m+

 

speed for the defender as in more xp per hour faster kill's

but the bandos etc will save u more money on food :S

if u got the money and want speed u know what to do

Meh, my opinion is SELL EVERYTHING, get 95 prayer for turm, dragon defender and wear proselyte on easy tasks, barrows on harder ones, and turm the whole task. EPIC FAST and FUN

Another thing to add:
Idk why ppl saying "Keep BCP/Tassy couse barrows cost much to repair".
WTF U Saying? Barrows items are 20m+ cheaper then barrows, and repairing a full set w/o helm costs 150k? So you sell BCP+Tassy=50m. Buy, lets say Verac, no helm = 4m? So you are left with 46m, and 46m/150k=306.6
You can repair the barrows set 306 times for the cost of the bandos, and a set lasts about 20 hours, resulting 6120 hours? What more do you need lol?

 

Even with mediocre gear and defense, you shouldn't need much food during most slayer tasks, which is what he's going to be doing. DPS is more important so you can get the fastest experience per hour. Therefore, Dragon defender > DFS almost anywhere other than bosses and dragons. Hell, Rune defender > DFS rofl.

 

keep bandos. if you sell and trade for barrows you'll only be losing money as you have to repair. as for the dfs just keep it. unless you really need the extra cash for something just keep it. doing slayer alot like you said you'll make 20m to cover the dfs anyways.
