are obby maul pures any good

im currently making one, it has 99 woodcutting, 76 agility, 58 rune crafting. 56 hp and 67 str. all other stats r 1. please rate and tell me if i should get attack or not

 

Not since the maul attack animation.
You now see the full swing at least 2 game ticks (1.2 seconds) before the damage even shows up even if you use knives-maul. This makes it incredibly easy to safe upon.

Basically every maul now has delayed swing animation which makes any sort of range-maul switch telegraphed a mile away. If you played an obby mauler a few years ago before this animation you`d notice the stark contrast. Also rangers with dfire bolts hit just as hard and more accurately at the same combat. Corrupt pures are a good 'evolution' but theyre extremely costly to fund and end up losing money even with a very high k:d ratio.

 

I miss the good old days of strength pures and ranged pures :/ Simplicity at its best.

Just make it a normal pure IMO - up to you in the end but thats just what I suggest

 

If you must have an obb maul pure,add range so you have a consistent hitter.
