Thank you for the transcript. I've been reading the topic and I kind of agree with what EosWild said. This is probably a marketing campaign to get more votes so they get more money from ads. Jagex isn't (probably) that stupid that they wouldn't do something that 90% of the RS active population wanted.

 

There has just been a video posted of Mod MMG speaking in his clan chat earlier today, he mensioned that the wilderness will be only brought back if theres 1-1.5M votes + Voting yes..

The difference between 600k or so and 1000k would still end up at the majority yes.
Even if everyone voted no, the MAJORITY would still be yes.

Some of the reading got confusing as its all answers to questions, does he say that transfering money between accounts is actually agaisnt the rules?

 

They're not going to get 1M votes... And they know this. I don't think they realize their old fan base are in college/university now.. They're not going to come back like they think they are. And the economy is ruined, all the coins that have been brought into the game from PvP statues, its ridiculous. And all the botters.. Oh my.

 

They probably won't get that many votes as others have said. I found it interesting that he seems to be okay with transferring between accounts so we might not have to worry about that as much anymore.

 

I think they will release it on first week of January as per 10th year celebrations.

The whole voting thing and making people vote (1 million) is all about letting people know (who quit) and making them come back. Their goal maybe to make 200,000 come back for this.

This might include people making new accounts for staking and pking (and getting memebers)

 

It's all a money making ploy. If they can get at least 200,000 people to get new memberships at ~$7 per month that's 1.4m USD per MONTH. Seems like they're about to bank if you ask me

So if we dont get 1m votes in 10th of January, this update wont happen?
And if it does not happend much people quit and there is like 30,000-60,000 playing only daily.. so why fuck jagex thinks they would get more money if they dont do this update and lies to voters...

 

It will happen regardless lol. They probably flunked alot of money into Mechscape thingy and wants a steady income before launching that. That should come out next year too.

Haha, regardless, if everyone stops voting now, there would be no way they wont bring it back. They decided on bringing the wildy back before the votes began. This is all to make us think we have an opinion and that give a damn. Where were our opinions when we had riots in 3 separate worlds at a time all full?

No they've lost too much money/players from taking the wildy down, there bringing it back now and they just wanna milk it out of us before they do bring it back.

 

They scrapped Mechscape and worked on Stellar Dawn instead didn't they? Correct me if i'm wrong.

 

Hes kind of hoping to high to get the 1 mil votes. On the first phase people were voting 20+ times each, hence the high numbers. With phase 2, people are still voting multiple times each, although now it's only 2-5 accounts per person.

It probably will hit 1 mil, but wont get close to 1.5.

 

Very interesting read, should clear up questions about how fast Jagex can instate the updates. Looks like we still have a ways to go, everyone keep voting! Though tbh, if we got say 900k votes, I would be VERY surprised if Jagex didn't go through with the update, the player backlash would be enormous...

 

I honestly hope it is on the 1st..
