Do you know the difference between THAN and THEN?

    Do you know the difference between THAN and THEN?

    I see soooooo many posts on here where people continuously misuse the word "than" and "then". For some reason, this is my biggest pet peeve. So I'll try and clear this up.

    When you are talking about a timeline, THEN is the correct form to use.
    For example; I first woke up, then I brushed my teeth.

    When you are comparing something, you use THAN.
    For example; She trusted me more than she trusted you.

    I hope this has educated some people on the proper use of two very similar words. Until next time, folks.

    This isn't a discussion... it's more of a rant. All the posts will consist of, "yeah, I agree". Locked.
