What's your definition of a terrorist?

I don't want you to look up the definition on google. I want to hear from YOU. What makes a person, a terrorist?

 

I am angry and burn down my house. Am I a terrorist?

 

Someone who wants to cause fear/pain/death to others for one of two reasons:

1) They believe it will inform/convert others to a religious view or a view on life.
2) They just do it because they can.

 

Conspiracy theorists are considered terrorists, that's why the patriot act was created.. IMO anyone who causes great fear toward a group of people can be called a terrorist.

 

Its not always for religion.

Also, terrorism can be taken advantage of by those affected. They use it to cause nationalism and a general idea of hate toward the country who caused the terror.. (Like 9/11 and the "war" in Iran)

 

A terrorist is someone who terrorizes something or someone. So yes, you are a terrorist in the sense of terrorizing your own property and destroying it. People often refer terrorists to 9/11, bombs, or Muslims. However, that's not the case.

 

I didn't say it had to be religion. I said it could be a view on life or just because they can.

 

Someone who causes terror?

 

Someone who causes terror. In more detail/my definition, is someone that causes fear to a population/group of people whom do not follow the "terrorists" commands, so with that said, "bank robbers" are terrorists.

 

Terrorist usually do things detrimental to different political figures to try to bring power by the means of terror, they don't try to convert people. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a "religious terrorist" tries to prove in violent means that they are superior.

A terrorist is a person who is a selfish person, whose only desire is to cause mayhem.

 

A person who causes destruction and uses violence to cause fear or terror.

 

Terrorists are those that refuse to cease deadly results. The only purpose for a terroist is to cause terror for others.

 

One who terrorizes in one of their main goals in life (i.e. not a bully)

United States is on someone's land right now killing people for no apparent reason. Does that makes US terrorist? If so, why don't we call them terrorist?

Someone who enjoys to hurt anything or destroy anything without remorse or knowledge for the outcome of their actions.
