Modding Your Gamertag in Modern Warfare 2

Please note that this is only for the Xbox 360

Programs you will need:

• USBXplorer
• EzGT
  

Steps:

1. Plug your USB drive into your Xbox 360.
2. Go to ‘System Settings’, to ‘Memory’, and move your profile to the USB drive.
3. Unplug the USB drive from your Xbox 360; plug it into your PC.
4. Open up USBXplorer:
   
5. File > Open Device:
   
6. A file will open, continue to click the first option until you cannot choose any more options. (File name blocked out for precautionary reasons):
   
   
7. Choose Extract. Save it somewhere you can remember (i.e. the desktop):
   
8. Open up EzGT:
   
9. Open up your profile:
   
10. Click over to the add tab (self-explanatory).
11. Modify your gamertag as desired. (Note: 15 characters max - color mods take up two of the characters):
    
    (Mines is 'Press (Y) to Die')
12. File > Save.
    
13. Close the program.
14. A folder will be created on your desktop (it will not match your profile).
    
15. Open USBXplorer - Get back to the root menu ({dir}Content):
    
16. Double click on the content menu once:
    
17. Click the Inject Folder Option and choose the appropriate folder:
    
    * Make sure you click on the main folder (don't open up the sub-folders).
18. Safely eject the flashdrive and insert it into your Xbox 360.

How to play with the modded profile online:

1. Make sure that no accounts are signed in when you start Call of Duty: Modern Warefare 2.
2. Continue through the on screen notifications (the gore scene, the display, etc.).
3. Click on Multiplayer - It will give you an error saying you need to sign in.
4. Choose the modded profile (It will have strange characters at the modded spots - Mines looks like 'Press [] to Die'.
5. It will make you create an avatar, just select one and go.
6. It will say that your account can not play online (which will bring up a new account selection).
7. Choose your default profile (the one you used to mod with) and sign in.
8. You're now the proud owner of a modded profile.
