Effigies

Two Questions:

1) What's a good, relatively easy and consistent effigy dropping monster that I could camp (using ranged/cannon)?
2) does Ring of Wealth improve effigy drop chance? As I would consider effigies a rare drop. (Answered; Answer = No)

 

1) Tzhaar monsters (I got 4 in one night of botting).
2) I don't think so.

I just finished a 180 hellhounds task (cannoned in the dungeoneering thing, ftw) but got no effigy. Someone else had told me they were good effigy droppers?

@Dialatic, how long do you bot TzHaar?

 

Abyssal demons drop a bunch of effigys. When I was there I got 3 in one trip of 2 bunyips.

They're drop rate is not affected by a ring of wealth because they're on a separate drop value string (drop table) similar to Visages and Clue scrolls.

Meaning if you kill an abyssal demon you could get this all in one drop:

Abyssal Whip
Effigy
Blue Charm
Clue Scroll
Ashes

 

I got one on my 10 hp pure at bears... I had about 20 kills in and I got an effigy, no joke. lol :/

 

tzhaars drop them often
the high level monster not the low levels

 

Frost dragons drop them... Well... "Commonly"

 

Once in a lifetime-luck.

 

I would be camping frosts already if I had 85 dungeoneering, lol.

Could you give an estimate? 1 in 2 hours or something?

 

1.) When I used to go to bandos a lot I got a few of em there.
2.) No it doesn't help sorry.

 

tzhaars and bandos is pretty good droppers

 

i got 2 effigies in like 10-15 kills with the greaters at the demonic ruins.

 

I botted in Tzhaar like 7 hours, and got 4. Sometimes I bot 10 hours, and get none or 1. It's just all luck.

I have 8 total now from Tzhaar monsters though.

 

Heard TDS drops them pretty often. Personally I haven't been to tds since effigies came out, so I wouldn't know.

In 2500 frost dragons, I've gotten 3 so far. Been camping abbys for a while also, and I've only had one there so far. So I wouldn't really recommend those two for just effigies.
