I have a friend who says Macs are better than PCs. Post why he is wrong.

 

They're designed for a one-button click. Fail.

 

Don't get me wrong, PC's are superior. Mac has some cool things though.

Well here's somewhat of a list...

- Macs only run like 9% of all computer programs, windows is like 87%. Linux being the rest.
- $3000 for a high end macbook pro, $3000 for a state of the art pc. I mean ridiculous cpu, gpu, ram, graphics, everything.
-Apple is retarded

This is only one of the reasons apple is retarded. I could go on for hours.
-Macs built for average idiot "it just works". PC's require some intelligence to operate and troubleshoot. Not even tech smarts, just common sense.
-There are tons of reasons. Just type in windows vs mac. Thousands of hits.

 

Macs only come in two colours haha!

 

I think hes right.. ive heard that mac computers are better than pc...forget why...but yeah.

Im not supporting anythng, just what i heard.. thats all.

 

to me, it feels like macs are for people that are either too dumb or too lazy to learn how to use a pc.

 

for the price of a mac you can get a beast computer that can hack the fbi database.

Mac's are essentially for people who are too lazy to figure out how a PC works. They just want to try to, "simplify" everything.

If something on your Mac breaks, you need to send the entire thing in. You can't fix it yourself and you can't send in the specific part. Fuck shit fuck

Macs are great computers for a specific area of use. My dad is a programmer, and just about every programmer uses a mac. But besides programmers and a handful of engineers macs are not a necessity. However, Apple does a fantastic job marketing and designing its computers. Not a single pc has the elegance and sleekness of a macbook pro. They are pricy, but you are paying for the name,look, operating system, and the cool features not the specs.

I don't believe you can just send in the specific part for any manufacturer...I work on computers and any time there is a part I can't replace my self (usually because of the aftermarket cost of the part) the whole machine must be sent in.

Also, why can't you fix a mac your self? I just replaced the fan in my macbook pro yesterday there was nothing stopping me from doing so?

He's talking about manufacturing companies (companies that actually manufacture the parts) that you purchase from when building your own computer. Not companies in which you purchase an entire system unit already assembled like Dell/HP/Gateway/etc.

With most manufacturing companies, if you are having problem with a piece of hardware they created, you simply send in the part and it usually ends in them sending you another one.
