The big What if Question?

Ok, heres a interesting thought.

If all old rs classic players with multiple partyhats that eventually went to rs2 in 2001 all quitted shortly after rs2. If all these people are like 30 now and decide to organize a runescape reunion again with their old accounts?

What if they find out party hats are like 400-600mill and start learning about the ge to sell them?
And then what happens if they all gonna look for goldselling sites like sythe to sell the billionaire accounts?

What turn of events will take place in this economic disaster? both real economy and runescape economy

Or will they just drop them for fun and stupidity before they ever find out their values?

Dont tell me its not possible, cause these accounts should still be active right?

What do you guys think?

 

That's completely hypothetical and highly unlikely to happen....

However if it did happen, I would expect a HUGE inflation in the runescape economy and blackmarket sales of GP would probably fall too.

I can almost guarantee that all classic players don't know each other like that. Even if they somehow did, I doubt they would all be 30. Once again, even if this was all true, I don't think they'd all go and sell their accounts on sythe.

 

Ofcourse its completely unlikely and hypothetical. But thats why the title says what if question mark^_^

why wouldnt they sell it on site. If they all found out about the ge and foldselling site (wether thats sythe or not) I mean, if its worth around 2000bucks for maybe 10partyhats 10x500mill = 5bill = alot of real life money. Maybe some owners are poor, that would be a surprize.

Oh yes, most certainly. But think clearly for a moment.

There must be hundreds if not thousands of players (unactive accounts) online that still have these phats. Ofcourse a bulk amount of players did go onward and phats of those have made the market. During the last 9 years pretty much 80% of those paths got lost, during pking, duelling, dropping etc etc.

Alot of players stopped after classic or shortly after rs2 started. These are hundreds of undiscovered phats. If they come online, runescape will crash for sure. Every market item will value in half if not a quarter. And we would have alot of fun, apart from our own money deflation ofcourse^_^ that would be so cool

EDIT NOTE:remember that every discontinued item can influence the market. So H'ween masks, eggs and pumpkins will certainly do the trick aswell.

But as its been said, its completely hypothetical, so i leave this thread for what it is. feel free to post anyway.

 

Most account's have been locked that have had party hats these days due to too many people trying to hack accounts.
Most of the people probably couldn't even remember their account information to even recover their account.

But if it happened, the price in Partyhats would drop due to people seeing the lowest price being massive and the price would drop.
The blackmarket economy would be in hell because of this aswell.

 

just because of people selling phats in ge... im not sure how that would crash the economy other than just rares.. mostly just phats... black market (gp) then black market trading for phats would die because you could get them in g/e..thats about all that would happen... because selling those phats wouldnt add money to the economy.. if someone is buying them then the money was already in the economy.. such a dumb question lol

They wouldn't drop them. The thing is, whenever they had them they still held value (1M+ towards the end of RSC). The common sense thing is, discontinued items will increase in price.

Most of them probably know that W1+W2 are the huge worlds so they're know the street prices (or via the forums for that matter).

After that, yeah they might just sell the hats and make bank. It'd make for an interesting GE fluctuation.

Not all old accounts have phats. I made my first account, like what, 7.. 8 years ago. I can't even remember how you got them, I've got loads of old accounts that I could probably recover, but I doubt they'd have any rares.

EDIT: Oh yeah, from crackers. Not sure how crackers came about, however.

To answer the quesition, I would think partyhats and other rares would crash.
