So goldsmithing gaunlets don't work...

I bought 10k gold ore for xp weekend, and i just realized that goldsmithing gauntlets do absolutely nothing at the moment.


Im getting 45 xp per ore with OR without gaunlets... i think the multiplier has something to do with it. What the fuck.

Jagex announced this when they first announced the bonus XP weekend.

I was at the Grand Exchange last night, right before bonus XP started, about 5 minutes before. A guy was telling me how he needed to go get out his dragon bones so he could go use them on an altar. I felt kind of bad for the guy, thought he'd get double the experience on an altar, wasted his money on the bones.

they mentioned that you cannot "stack anything.. or else people would bralwers would be getting... 4x2.7 xp, thats ridiculous

Nah, it doesn't stack with brawlers, alter or gauntlets. I'm still superheating gold though, nice mage exp and nice smithing exp even though your not getting 2x exp the gauntlets make up for it

I didn't ask for anyone to sympathize? I merely posted an inquiry about something i had no knowledge of and expected an answer- the issue has already been established so your snobby attitude is really just overkill and you're not making an impression on anyone by being arrogant.

If this is the reception one gets for confiding in a pseudo tight-knit community then these forums can be shut down for all i care. That's NOT the case however... there will always be hot headed pretentious pricks like you that shine with their elitism.

This is what I'll contribute.

Jagex disabled all xp multipliers for the bonus event. Meaning, goldsmithing gloves, altars, ectofungus, SC tools, etc will not work.
You bought 10k gold ores at high prices thinking you can get quadruple xp.
You got owned.

Sorry for your loss there, next time double check the game mechanics if you don't want to get screwed over.

BTW, you can still use the gold ores later.

FYI, i don't give a shit about post count. So, obviously the answer must be i have an inflated ego that's on steroids.

 

Damn, I was gonna use shark gloves so I can get 99 cooking then I read this. Thanks for the heads up.
