New Class Selection.

Anyone see the new class selection when you go to make a new account? You can choose whether you want to be a miner, runecrafter, fighter etc. It''s pretty neat.

 

Its just for the clothes :l

that sounds really interesting.. tempted to make a new account just to see that.. now they need to give those classes benefits towards the stats they're connected to

I read this in another forum. But I guess it's pretty useless cuz it's just for the outfit, you don't get any other bonuses.

 

I don't think they should have an advantage.
This would just divide the RS community and break apart the fairness.
I saw that you can walk around topless (at least the dudes can).
I thought that was a neat update.

Skin coloured shirt and they don't give any upgrades. They should at least make it you start with 10 range if you choose archer, 10 strength if you choose melee, 10 woodcutting or something for a skiller. There's no real point in getting excited it's just your outfit that nobody will see only if you 1 item in wildee or bot naked.

 

It's just closthes. I personally think it is quite lame :s

 

I like the new class selection because it defines what the player does.
In a sense, I guess it gives your character a bit of character.

You can also customize further for a more unique look/style.

 

agree with the +10 to your stats. would be a nice kick start for whatever stat you chose and wish to train further.

 

I agree too but more so it should be set to level 5, but for those just starting out it would be nice to also get a Bronce pick axe when
selecting miner, or a Bronze hatchet when selecting woodcutter. Just saves time having to scrounge for money off the ground or
asking others around you for that 500gp kick start.

This could also replace the pointless free level 4 mining
or level 4 woodcutting when doing the tutorial.

 

I think it is for clothes. But who knows it might have impact on actual game when you start? Such as speeding up skilling for w/e class you choose? Like a hidden update?

Sort of useless because barely anybody walks around with no armour or gear on. I wish they did have certain begining gear n lvl 10 ** Depending on what class

 

I can see why they did this.

If a new player came on and saw all of those selections, they would be like:
"Wow! I want to be a Theif!
Oh wait, you have to pay £3 a month to be a theif?
I'll just Pay by Phone, nobody will know."

It's pointless IMO.
