As of three minutes ago I went to log onto an account to take some screenshots, so I could post them here and try to sell the account. That is when I noticed that the person who sold it to me, about a month ago, recovered the account. Seeing as it was several weeks ago, I've already forgotten the person's username and msn. So what does this mean? It means I lost my $10. Please, don't get the wrong impression about this thread by reading this. This thread is not an attempt to get my money back, it's not me crying about it not being fair, it's me just being completely fed up with the amount of scamming that goes on around here.

So I have to ask the question: What gives people the audacity to think it's alright to take advantage of someone, to steal the money that they've earned? Do people on this site really have that poor of character? Do you have absolutely no morals? Because honestly, scamming someone, whether it be their account or their money, a level 3 or 138, a measly $2, or a large amount like $100, is absolutely pathetic. Or even better, getting on someones account and just fucking it up for the shits n giggles. That is just cruel and heartless. But let's be honest, it's completely understandable to have the temptation to recover an account, or refund your money, especially when you know you could get away with it. But really? SHOW SOME DAMN CLASS.

But of course, it's the internet, right guys? Nobody really gives a damn how anyone else really feels. Because, apparently, showing any type of emotions or feelings on the internet is a sign of weakness, something to be mocked. So when I recover that account I sold, it's not like the person actually worked hard for his money. Or when I refund my cash, it's not like the guy really put hours of work into his account. Right? Well it must be! Seeing as that's how people act around here. I mean, JEEZ, just stop and think about what you're doing to some other human being! Are you really that big of a douchebag? But of course, people will always say, "if you're really that upset about an account, or a couple of bucks, you need to get a life!" Like, really? It's only natural to become attached to something after time, or get furious over an injustice against you, no matter how big or small the object.

All of the pathetic, scamming, insensitive, no-lifes just need to all fucking get off Sythe. In the end, you're going to get caught, you're going to to banned, and you're scamming fun will be over. Instead of trying to fucking ruin the community, why not help it out? Just don't scam! It's really not that hard. Because this is what happens: You scam, then that person gets mad, so THEY go and scam, and the chain just continues! Be the bigger man, end the chain! If it happens, of course you have the right to be mad, of course you're going to want to get revenge, or compensated for your losses, but don't stoop to their level!

Just IMAGINE what type of place this would be if everyone here was legit, and honest when buying/selling things. It would be absolutely incredible.

I'm not expecting responses, just take some of this into consideration, please.

Umad? Becuse to be honest I would be . I have had it happen to me before thats why I dont use the black market anymore. But there will always be people who do this becuse they can and they know that nothing is done or very Rarely since its not a large amount but its about the morals of the person I guess and not the amount stolen .

Obviously I'm frustrated I lost $10, but I'm more disappointed with the people on here now.

Back in my early days here I got scammed soooo many times, purely because I was naive to how thinks worked around here. It's like, if people see an opportunity to take advantage of someone, they do it.

Before making an online transaction always make sure the person is trustworthy. Someone trustworthy around here would rarely scam for $10..

This isn't really about my $10, this is about the principle of it. And he was trusted, I just can't remember his name. That's exactly why I didn't keep it...

    Cool spam, bro.

I'm not quite understanding what you're saying? I'm not saying never use this website to trade again, nothing close to that.

Sorry to hear. I think you can file a claim with the international internet harrasment beareau or something? (horrible spelling, I apologize). I've seen some signatures about it, such as "If you scam me I will file a report with ___"

I completely agree with you and know exactly how you feel. Its either kids who dont work and they scam a few bucks or just pathetic people in general who wont get anywhere in life because this is all they know how to do. People really need to read this especially before they even think about attempting to scam but again like farcast said, its the internet and that gives some people the power to do things they wouldnt otherwise do.

I know exactly how you're feeling, get scammed then you want to fuck with somebody the way you got fucked. I do realized it's hard being the bigger man, but if you have common morals you will. It's hard to just do it, but quit Runescape, it's nothing but trouble.
I got on my pure today, found out it was banned for macroing. Then all of a sudden, I just don't want to bother anymore. I'm trying my hardest to put this behind me, and i will succeed. If you follow suit, good things should come.

There will always be many scammers. As farcast said, people feel they are safe as they are committing a crime online. The key is to avoid the scammers and come down hard legally on those who scam you.

Again, I'm not looking for pity. I'm trying to get a point across.

And accountrader, the guy was a guru, I just wish I could remember the name. There's no way I can link it to him, I can prove I sent the money, but I can't prove he recovered it.

Still, this about the whole concept of it.

This is his email if anyone knows it: [email protected]

I was scammed for $150 in account trading a bunch of years back...the rs username was I torana I. I still remember it painfully. I was a lot younger then, and a lot more trusting. This guy decided it was okay to steal money from me. $150. was a lot to me back then. Its really no different from real life.
I was depressed for a long time after that. Not about the loss of basically all the money I ever had, but the fact that there is such thing as such lowlifes in this world. I have hated the person who did that for about six years now, and I have to admit that even when I kept my morals and never scammed, that rage about that incident has tried to convince me to scam other people as well. I just hope that potential scammers realize that it just isn't worth it to commit such crimes. Its real money, real people. It's just on the internet.

$150 is actually quite a bit of money, you can legally sue him for that. If you still know his contact information, you should look into that. Also I give you props for not stooping to his level.

Yes because you are going to spend money on lawyers, court fees and other stuff to track him down for $150?
