Apparently RS is dying?

Well, you definitely wouldn't guess that based on the amount of events/updates we have had this month. Does anyone else feel like this is a lot or is it just because I'm actually playing now?

 

If anything I think more and more people are coming back or starting to play because free trade/wilderness came back.

No, Runescape isn't dieing. Have you noticed the amount of players that have been on each world. Definitely Alot. Also runescape isn't close to dieing after the release of Free Trade + Wilderness this month which people have waited 3 years for.

No, as a matter of fact since the Wilderness and Free Trade came back I'd like to argue the opposite is happening. Now that Jagex has more members they are continuing to focus on expanding, and more frequently updating the game with desirable content.

 

That is enough said. more and more people are starting to buy gold. Why?

Although I like whats happening now with runescape, I still hope they ban botters (just not me, because I p2b, pay to bot). The prices of raw materials are plummetting and it will have serious consequences if some offenses go unpunished.

I haven't heard of 1 person banned for RWTing/Xfering/Botting this month...

Nah, I think jagex is in a good position right now. All they really need is to add useful things into the game, and not mess up the wildy/free trade again. I see the game lasting a lot longer.

 

I would think it got much more popular with the release of free trade, so no.

 

Since the trade and wildy came out he is gotten way popular than before having many people playing online close to 300k which is alot than before I remembered before I quit for a while.
I see it going strong for a long time.

 

I think it's dying or JaGex is finally making decent decisions.

Have energy transfer in single way combat either means they realized that it's more useful single way, OR they're breaking all the rules they had to make the game a lasting impression before they cut the cords on it.

Stuff like that.

So I'm getting mixed emotions.

 

Maybe they finally realized that the only way to make their game last in the long run is to do what the players actually want. They can't just do whatever anymore because they saw what happened and it probably hurt them financially. something like that you get it

 

Soon Jagex will start selling gold.

 

Its as big as ever now that free trade is back.

 

IMO it's in a pretty awful position right now. If more people don't come back because of FT/wilderness, the game is going to die. ATM the game is just overrun with bots and scammers, if things calm down and new people start playing it'll sort itself out, but whether or not it'll die before that's possible is uncertain.

What jagex needs to do is leave the game for a few months and then crack down on botters and cheaters extremely harshly. That way they can let the game grow a bit from legit players before they remove the people ruining it.

Seriously though, look at this shit. I'm training at rock crabs and there isn't a single person here besides me, despite rock crabs being one of the most utilised training areas in all of runescape. It must be a coincidence that it's empty after RS updated, right?
