Running RSBot overnight on a laptop

I've already tried the search button but got no luck. :embar:

Can someone link me to a guide for this??

RAMB0's guide doesn't have the attachments, so his won't work for me.

This is very simple.... Just turn the bot on, and then make sure that you turn off the auto sleep thingy on your laptop.

Also, make sure you set the "turn off display" setting to 1 min or something like that to save money on the electric bill.

make sure you plug it in obviously if you have a shitty battery. if you are using more than 1 bot or whatever the case and your laptop gets hot you might wanna use one of those cooling pad things,, you know?

On laptop it's easy as hell, Plug in, run the bot, and happy botting.
make sure you don't close ur laptop, sometimes it logs out if u close ur laptop.

Speaking from my own experience here..

Pick one of the power plans to designate to botting - I chose Entertainment (0-100% of power depending on use, manages itself)

After you've chosen, go into 'Change Plan Settings.'

In that screen, turn off display can be anything you want. "Put the computer to sleep:" should be 'WHILE PLUGGED IN: NEVER.'

This way, while plugged in it will never go to sleep (thus never disconnecting your bot in that way) but the display willl shut off to save power. To further protect your laptop from heating up too hot, turn off all LED lights in your keyboard, lower brightness and drop your resolution.

I got sick of leaving my laptop on so I got a VPS. It's great, and I set up my phone to connect via VNC, so even in lessons I can check on the bot.
