Back into wow- hardcore after 1 year

Hello,

I'm getting back into wow and I will be looking to play a priest.


I'm currently running a few sythe guys to 60 and i'm going to help them to 80 asap and get them into raiding. It'll be hard at first but worth it to have a core of GOOD gamers who are just newbs to wow.

It's an awesome priest, ICC ready(even though I am not) and tons of mounts /blah.

Can anyone link me to some ICC guides, the current SPRIEST talents guides, and if there is anything new I need to know of the game?

Oh, and I hear there was a new raid out besides ICC? Can anyone give me some details about it?

One more thing, is Cata coming out soon...?

Ruby Sanctum is a pain, but it's a lot like Obsidian Sanctum, but the boss is a bitch dragon fight that made ony look like a 2$ whore. (Just wiped 3 times on her last night, a little angry still >.<).

Uhm, when's the last time you played? I doubt much beyond the intro of RS has changed.

 

I stopped last summer. I came back for a cpl weeks and dicked around in TOC learning all the fights.

I'm on a new acc though after going thru some retard troubles and I bought it, but I still know how to dps on a priest real well..

So basically, I know NOTHING..LOL

Not a single fight in ICC, is it hard at all? I like the RS thing too, it seems like another OS as you said and I'm dying to try it, just undergeared.

I'm in full t9/some t10 / 264s

 

You should be fine to run ICC 10 reg then. The first quarter of ICC really is a cake walk, the plague quarter is where most noobs die though because they can't understand simple dance routine, and then you go into blood which gets a little complicated... Then you have to heal a dragon while protecting it from mobs which isn't too hard if you have awesome heals and good dps. You could probably do that fight without a tank even XD.

LK is horrid. there's a reason people stop at 11/12. He's a ridiculous fight and will leave you feeling drained. RS is about the same gear level as ICC 10 reg, so if you can do one, you can do the other, it just requires understanding the mechanics of the fight and actually doing well. It's more about survival and less about dps really.

 

I'm rather good at learning after i've tried a few times, just need to find a good PUG to teach me...lol

Hey I raided ICC HMs up to Sindri in 25s before I quit, feel free to PM me any questions youve got about strats.
As for priest questions id hti up the wow priest forums, the class forums are generally pretty good for learning class stuff.
Tankspot and wowwiki both have good stuff to learn the basics of fights.

 

I really suggest you do not go shadow priest for raiding, it is average DPS at best and in the top raiding guilds you will NEVER see a shadow priest on top :S

Eh? A shadow priest has great DPS and you're just another wow player who cries about their class not being good enough. I assure you spriests have plenty of raid utility and damage to keep up on top...

Thanks pen, I've been thinking about checking out a site like that..been there before and always saw it as number crunching hardcores(I used to just learn on my own). I guess i'll have to actually "Study" it this time if I want to raid again.
