    Customer service taking forever

My account was stolen. I sent them a message concerning this about 4 or so days ago. 2 days ago, I got worried and sent them another message and forwarded the message to other departments. The email contained everything they usually end up asking for, even a scan of my photo ID. I'd figure this would be an open-shut case for them, considering the information couldn't have been more complete. Does customer support really usually take this long for WoW US?

Also, I did receive an email back yesterday. All it said was not to email them multiple times because it slows the process down. That's a little annoying considering that they took the time to tell me that but they didn't actually solve anything...

Yes, I'm now aware that I shouldn't have emailed them again so soon. I'm just used to WoW EU where I would get responses within 12-24 hours. Not 48-?.

Again, the question is, does it normally take this long?

I suppose I'll just give them until the 18th and then contact them some other way. It angers me a little bit that one of the most successful game companies refuses to hire more customer service staff.

They may be really slow recently..they want to review it more possibly. What I did when I was hacked like a year ago by a gold farmer site is called them and got a direct email from a support tech. She helped me out immediately and I was in ASAP.

Another thing to do is send it to the supervisor: [email protected] (or was it battle.net? idk, google it)

dude don't email them ever.. Its shit.. They will give you the run around and then finally tell you "you need to call in". Best bet is to just call in and get it done and over with.

I'm waiting for their customer service to pick up now, they said my estimated wait time is 19 minutes. I assume I'll just get a scripted response that I need to wait longer; because when I pressed the number for "Account compromise etc." they told me to just send an email, or wait on the line for other issues. I think I'll ask them why the hell it's taking so damn long to get a response. At this point I don't think they'll ever email me back. 2-3 days is one thing, but 5 days is over the top.

Just keep looking for the option to talk to an operator. Ignore everything else.

I'm on the line with them now. She's "looking further into it". She said it was changed from a "legitimate IP address"...whatever the hell that means. I wish I could give them my WoW CD key but I never saved them. At least I have all the other information. I'm starting to worry that I won't get it back. Three years on that account may now just be washed away.

I can give them my driver's license, so hopefully that will make up for the CD keys.

    Success! :D

Thanks for suggesting that I call them. I don't think they would have ever responded otherwise.

Do you have any old gamecards or a credit card number youve used for time?

I have a new problem. The hacker linked an authenticator, and I don't have the classic WoW CD key (or any of the other keys). I provided them with all of the following information:

    -Email
    -Password
    -Secret Q&A
    -Address+Zip Code
    -Credit Card Number
    -Scan of Driver's License

Do you think that's enough for them to remove it?

I moved at the beginning of last May. I have a dynamic IP where I now live.

The worst part of it is that the hacker is probably someone that I know. I don't see how else they could have all the information required for them to recover the account. Not only that, but she explained to me that the IP wasn't suspicious because it also came from Concord, NC (where I lived before May).

Edit: Thanks everyone for the advice and support. I just received an email letting me know that it was removed. Victory for the honest man for once. :)

That really is unfortunate :S but be grateful that atleast Blizzard allows this option for people who lost accounts to get them back
