How are goods shipped?

If i was going to buy an xbox 360, or anything else like that..
How is it going to be shipped to me? If i am paying through paypal and i go first how do I know its been sent?

Does the courier or shipping agency bring me the xbox 360 and i give them the money?

Please someone give me some info on shipping.
Any websites that do shipping also.

They attach a tracking number to the payment. You pay first. Try to buy from an online store.

I am not actually buying an xbox 360.
I am selling an ipod touch. :x

what would be the step by step process of what I would do, and what the other person would do.

 

You would send a tracking info, I'd expect the payment to reach me then send the product out. You should exchange home phones etc beforehand.

 

but how would i send it?
just through the mail in a package?
go to the local post office?
if the address was overseas would it ship over there too?
just i would add a shitload of stamps and stuff?
