This is my newest work still working on my skills, i reckon it's alright. Render used of Jazz from Transformers The Movie (Number 1). Not good with making effects with text :/

You'd be better to remove the text completely than have it like it is currently...

You've gotta get out of the habit of using borders- they kill the flow, and are just an eyesore.
Work on blending the render into the BG and the surrounding effects- at the moment you've just slammed an image onto a basic mixture of splatter brushes and blurred c4d's.... not good D:

 

yeah the gradient layer is too strong/killed the colour/quality
and random light in face? lol

 

Hehe i noticed your current sig. A tut from sigtutorials?

 

Pretty much what he said, the text KILLS the sig, the lighting is oerdone and it does look like you just slapped a render on some randomly put together effects. Tone the lighting done and work on actually putting the BG and focal together.
