How to know if Paypal money is gift?

How can I make sure that my buyer is sending the money through paypal as a gift? Does it state anywhere that its a gift?

I have 1 way to make sure but I would like some easier,better method.

 

No, this was recently changed by Paypal. It no longer tells you what payment method it was sent as. Sadly the only real way to verify is if you teamvieer the payment or something.

Check if there were any fees. If there aren't any fees, then it was sent as either a Gift or Payment Owed (both basically the same thing, and you can't do item dispute on them), if there are fees then it was sent as a normal payment for goods or services.

 

I still get fees when I pay as a Gift.

 

You will only not get charged a fee when sending a gift if the money is coming from your balance.

 

For some reason, I still get fees aswell..even with sending by gift.
