Well if you owned the internet, then that would imply you owned all of the physical cables, servers, and data centers already. So what would be the point in asking?

It seems like this is a thinly veiled attack on private property. But do you see a monopoly in servers or data-centers? No. The only monopolies are those in the public sphere. Health, education, courts, roads, electricity.
