First signature.

Decided to get Photoshop and give it a go- basically followed a tutorial but I changed a bit of stuff like adding the text in the background etc....

What do you guys think? Any feedback would be great, thanks

Did you take a stock (that wizard thing in the background) and add text to it (too much, btw)?
If you didn't that's amazing.

 

Is your focal point the text put in the background? It's the first thing that caught my eye when I first glanced at the signature. After looking at the signature for some time I spent more time trying to figure out what the text means than looking at what the renders are doing. You can try checking out this signature tutorial I made a couple years ago here. It's nothing great but it might help you get a little better understanding about signature making.

 

yeah I got the render from planetrenders.net and added the text in the background myself... it is just lorem ipsum there, was not meant to be a focal point but now that you mention it, it does stand out a bit too much. I had another version without the text but then the background looked a little boring I thought.

I think the text looks a bit messy in this, for a first sig, it's still a great effort mate.

 

Theres NO all that was done by you on a first sig, i have no doubt 90% of it was the orifinal stock. Also, noone in hell wants to read that much text.
