    Proof of humanity's demise?

Well I was considering this today. We've progressed exponentially technologically in the last century. Time travel is still impossible, yes, but hardly as extraneous an idea as it used to be. Well, assuming humanity continues its pattern of incredible technological growth...wait...if time travel (let's say in this instance, backward time travel) becomes possible...why haven't we ever seen anybody come from the future? My theory is that we will be destroyed before this technology becomes possible, or of course that it will never be possible. But as I said before, many consider it to be in the not-too-distant future...

    Proof of humanity's demise?

Nope, just a thought....Yeah maybe my assumptions are totally ludicrous, but on the other hand if you asked someone 300 years ago about the internet, you'd get the same answer: Impossible.

    Proof of humanity's demise?

I think time travel would create way too many problems even if it was possible.

Time travel is technically not very far-fetched. If you speed up a particle with light in a sort of vortex, you can speed it up to a speed where time sort of stops. Then, from that point on, that the machine was built, you can "send" messages (particles) from your future point, to where time "stopped." Not an entirely truthful description, but the basic concept is true. I just havent gotten into this kind of a talk for a while, im rusty.

What evidence do you have to believe time travel is possible? I think technology will ultimately be suppressed to the length of a human life.

    Proof of humanity's demise?

I highly doubt that time travel is a possibility, but you can honestly never tell. Evidence, at the moment, would lead me to believe that time travel is an impossibility. Last night, I was watching a movie about time travel and such from another planet, it was entitled "K-Pax", it was actually a pretty interesting movie.
